A lista de indicados dos 69º Emmys Awards foi divulgada na última quinta-feira, dia 13 de julho. Maior premiação da televisão americana, é reconhecida pela indústria por mesclar séries veteranas com novidades que impactaram público e crítica.
A retirada de Game of Thrones da competição (por conta do atraso do lançamento, que passou do prazo previsto para inscrição) deu espaço para “Westworld” despontar como favorita, angariando um total de 22 indicações, equiparando-se ao programa de humor Saturday Night Live. A inclusão de “The Crown” e “Stranger Things” em diversas categorias reafirmou a importância da Netflix, que concorre ainda com as já premiadas “House of Cards” e “Orange is The New Black”. Já a concorrente Hulu desponta como forte candidata a ganhar o prêmio Melhor Drama com “The Handmaid’s Tale”.
As séries geralmente são os grandes destaques mas, neste ano, a categoria mais falada é Melhor Atriz em Minissérie ou Filme Para TV, devido ao seu altíssimo nível. Incluindo Nicole Kidman, Reese Whitherspoon, Susan Sarandon, Jessica Lange, Carrie Coon e Felicity Huffamn na disputa, todas com excelentes interpretações, é difícil nomear uma favorita para ganhar o prêmio.
Os Emmys 2017 estão marcados para o dia 17 de setembro, com apresentação de Stephen Colbert.
