Foram anunciados nesta quinta-feira, dia 12 de julho, os indicados ao Emmy, maior premiação voltada para a produção televisiva americana. Após 17 anos liderando as indicações, a HBO foi destronada pela Netflix, que conquistou 112 indicações por séries como “The Crown”, “Stranger Things” e o reality “Queer Eye”, que disputa o prêmio 14 anos depois do programa original ter sido agraciado com uma estatueta.
A Amazon Prime consagrou a sua nova série de comédia, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, indicada em 14 categorias, enquanto “American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace” desponta na categoria minissérie ou filme para TV, concorrendo a 18 prêmios. Sandra Oh, mais conhecida por interpretar Christina Yang em “Grey’s Anatomy”, fez história por ser a primeira mulher asiática a disputar na categoria principal de atuação por “Killing Eve”.
O Emmy 2018 ocorrerá em uma cerimônia televisionada no dia 17 de setembro, em Los Angeles.
